Amid rampant cases of abuse against the belief of Muslims by making a cartoon face the prophet Muhammad, Japan refused to do so. Interestingly, Japan has the cartoonist who produces more than 52% of the cartoons (like manga and anime), and has done so for more than 60 years now, not even if they are interested in religion and culture harass other people.
Even the Canadian scholar, Sheikh Walid Abdul Hakim specifically expressed his respect for the Japanese state that does not send a representative in Paris March action, which condemned the attack Charlie Hebdo in the name of freedom of expression.
Through his Facebook page, he said, "Hail to the Japanese, who chose not to send their representatives in action Parade Paris, and will not produce the cartoons (the abuse of the Prophet Muhammad)."
Furthermore, Sheikh Walid wrote: "Although Japang reached the peak of technology, economics, and education, exceeding some Western countries, they were polite and respectful of other countries, an example of the same country between words and deeds. We condemn the violence, but no, we do not approve intolerance and hatred in the name of freedom of speech !.
